Independence Day Festivities
In Morgan Hill!

- Parade -
Morgan Hill's historic July 4th parade started in 1876 as our nation celebrated its first centennial, has run uninterrupted ever since.  Our parade is considered to be the best home town fourth of July parade in N. California and is the official Santa Clara County Independence Day parade, with a street audience in excess of 50,000 spectators.  There are more than 2,500 participants in the parading units, which include great marching bands, colorful floats, a variety of performance groups, and numerous specialty entries, all in a maximum of two hours.  The parade is designed to provide an entertaining venue for patriotic celebration that everyone can enjoy. Parade starts at 10a.m. through downtown Morgan Hill

- Fireworks on the Green -

The Freedom Fest events this year will culminate in the largest fireworks show ever produced in Morgan Hill at theMorgan Hill Outdoor Sports Center. The fields will open to the public at 1:00 pm. on July 4 with a packed schedule of fun and entertainment. If you have never been this close to a fireworks show, you will be amazed and impressed. And if you are staying for the spectacular fireworks show, bring a good measure of patience for the traffic after the show. Fireworks start shortly after dark.
